Shopify development support after launch
A live store keeps changing. Products, campaigns and apps can create new requirements, while small theme issues and broken interactions still need attention.
I provide developer-led Shopify support for fixes, refinements and ongoing improvements. We agree the priority list, included work and availability so your team knows how requests will be handled.
Continue improving without an undefined retainer
Support can cover theme changes, bugs, content-section updates, app compatibility issues, performance investigation and agreed integration maintenance. Larger rebuilds, new apps or substantial architecture work are scoped as projects rather than assumed to fit a small maintenance request.
An ongoing arrangement needs real terms: capacity, response windows, task priorities, approval for additional work and third-party costs. I discuss those for the engagement instead of publishing a universal plan that may not fit your store.
Review the existing implementation first
If another developer built the store, onboarding includes access and dependency review. Knowing the theme, apps and deployment responsibilities makes it easier to assess new requests and avoid unintended changes.
Shopify manages the platform infrastructure; developer support here concerns your store's custom implementation and agreed workflows. It is not Shopify's billing or account-support service.
Make requests clear and reviewable
Share the issue, affected page or workflow, expected behavior and urgency. We agree priorities and confirm whether a request is within scope before implementing it.
Appropriate preview, testing and approval arrangements depend on the change. The engagement also defines how time or completed work is reported and what happens when scope changes.
Support questions
Can you help with a one-off issue? Share the problem and implementation context so we can discuss fit, scope and availability.
Do you provide emergency or 24/7 coverage? This page does not promise it. Any incident-response commitment must be expressly agreed and realistically deliverable.
What about unused hours, extra tasks or cancellation? Those terms belong in the proposal if a recurring arrangement is agreed. They are not assumed from a generic monthly plan.
Can apps and headless storefronts be supported? Yes, with the relevant code, hosting, permissions and maintenance responsibilities reviewed before a commitment.
Tell me what support looks like for your team
Share the store, typical requests, current issues, dependencies and preferred working arrangement. We can define an appropriate level of development support.
For US projects, include your team’s time zone if it matters for reviews or meetings.
